Nicolas Minas is a film, episodic, and theater director based in New York City. His short films include EMMA WITHOUT EDMUND (starring Lynn Cohen) and THE MIRACLE TWERKER (National Board of Review Grant Winner). He directed the first two episodes of the new episodic comedy HALF LIFE (starring Larisa Oleynik & Finnerty Steeves, created by Patty Carey). He was the Assistant Director of Filming for the Emmy Award winning Live at Lincoln Center production of SWEENEY TODD (with Emma Thompson and Audra McDonald). He was Assistant Director for the Broadway production of DRIVING MISS DAISY (with James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave) and held an SDC Observership on the Live at Lincoln Center Production of COMPANY (Neil Patrick Harris, Patti LuPone, Stephen Colbert). His Chicago production of WOODY GUTHRIE’S AMERICAN SONG received 5 Jeff Award nominations including Outstanding Musical Production, and Outstanding Director of a Musical. He holds an MFA in Directing from Brooklyn College’s Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema.
